Tottenham Hotspur fans will love what Hamburg sporting director Claus Costa has said about Luka Vuskovic ahead of the centre-back’s return to Spurs.
Vuskovic’s market value has skyrocketed over the course of the season, with the centre-back establishing a reputation as one of the best young defenders in world football.
The 19-year-old has proved instrumental in keeping HSV up in the Premier League, with Hamburg boasting of a vastly superior record when the Tottenham man has featured.
Vuskovic has been tipped to be a regular starter for Spurs next season as his spell in the Bundesliga approaches its end.

Hamburg sporting director admits it would be impossible to replace Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic
The centre-back is set for his final appearance in HSV colours on Saturday as his side end their campaign with a trip to Bayer Leverkusen.
Claus Costa has now described the Croat as an ‘exceptional player’ and admitted that Hamburg cannot replace him with a player of similar quality.
He told Fussball Transfers about Vuskovic: “Replacing him with someone of equal calibre will be impossible, even though we have played successfully without him.
“Luka is an exceptional player, but also an exceptional personality. At 18, he exemplified things in the dressing room that you would normally expect from a 28-year-old.
“Add to that the connection and the history surrounding the Vuskovic name and family. Everyone was looking forward to him. Only Mario can fulfil that emotional expectation, no one else.”
Spurs send a clear message to Vuskovic’s suitors
It has been reported that the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool are ramping up their interest in the Tottenham man on the back of his impressive displays in Germany.
However, Spurs are trying to tie the teenager down to a new contract in an attempt to fend off the transfer interest.
In fact, Football Insider claimed a couple of days ago that Tottenham have made it clear Vuskovic is not for sale under any circumstances, as they have earmarked an important first-team role for the centre-back.
