Hojbjerg sums up Tottenham move in Tweet in just three words

After months of speculation, Tottenham Hotspur finally confirmed yesterday that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has penned a five-year contract with the club.

The announcement certainly did not come as a surprise with multiple sources confirming that the midfielder had completed his medical at North London on Monday.

As expected, Kyle Walker-Peters also completed a permanent move to Southampton following his successful loan spell on the south coast.

Some Spurs fans have responded very positively to the news that the Danish international will be linking up with the squad next season.

The 25-year-old certainly came across as an extremely mature and thoughtful individual in his first interview with Spurs TV, in which he admitted his desire to stay with the club for many years to come.

Hojbjerg then took to social media to reveal his delight at completing the move:

The midfielder also thanked the Southampton fans for their support during the four years he spent at St Mary’s after joining from Bayern Munich.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the financial constraints affecting the club, Hojbjerg is a solid acquisition for the reported price. I am delighted to see us move quickly to snap him up before pre-season begins. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come and we do not leave our transfer business until the final couple of weeks like we usually do.
