A report has shed light on how Luka Vuskovic and his representatives have reacted to the ongoing speculation about his client in the British press.
Over the last couple of months, several reports have suggested that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are keen on securing Vuskovic on the back of his exceptional season on loan at Hamburg.
However, it has been claimed that Tottenham have no intention of selling the centre-back, with the Lilywhites having earmarked a key first-team role for the teenager next season.
It has also been widely reported that Spurs are trying to tie Vuskovic down to a new contract in an effort to fend off the transfer interest.

Tottenham contract rumours have come as a surprise
A couple of days ago, The Independent even asserted that the 19-year-old is expected to sign a new Spurs contract before returning to HSV on loan next season.
However, MOPO have stated that these reports regarding a new deal for Vuskovic are wide of the mark.
In fact, they say that the teenager’s representatives have been left surprised by the reports regarding a contract extension for their client.
It is said as things stand, there are no conversations ongoing between Vuskovic’s camp and Tottenham over a new deal for the defender.
Vuskovic talks will have to wait until the end of the World Cup
MOPO claim the 19-year-old’s full focus at the moment is on doing well in the World Cup, which will be his first taste of a major international tournament.
Vuskovic has already joined the rest of the Croatia squad in Rijeka to prepare for the tournament, with the Balkan national team being in a Group L with England, Ghana and Panama.
The publication adds that any talks with Spurs over a new deal will have to wait until Croatia’s tournament comes to an end.
