Rafael Van der Vaart has become the latest pundit to blast Tottenham Hotspur, with the Dutchman admitting he is finding it difficult to believe what he is watching.
There was a huge feeling of optimism among Tottenham fans at the start of the campaign after the club backed Roberto De Zerbi with many of the top targets.
However, hardly anyone would have expected Spurs to start the campaign as badly as they have. The Lilywhites are continuing to show relegation form, having won just one and lost three of their six matches across all competitions.
Their only win so far has come against Charlton in the Carabao Cup, with the North Londoners still goalless from six hours of Premier League football this season.

De Zerbi insists he still retains belief in the quality of his players and is confident that results will soon turn around for his side, but it appears that he is quickly losing the faith of media figures and pundits.
Former Tottenham midfielder Van de Ven admitted he cannot stand to watch the Lilywhites anymore, questioning how they are so bad after investing so much into the squad.
When asked about Spurs’ struggles, Van de Vaart told Rondo podcast: “I can’t even bear to watch them anymore. I find Tottenham truly awful to watch. When you spend *that* much money on those players… I find it truly incredible. Truly incredible.”
Van der Vaart accuses Spurs of breaking the market
The former Netherlands international is not convinced about the quality of the 10 new players that Tottenham brought in during the summer window.
He accused his former club of inflating the market by paying huge prices for players who are not worth as much.
He added about the North Londoners’ summer business: “They’ve certainly messed up the market a bit, so to speak. Players we don’t even know get sold there, and you’re already looking at a price tag of 40 or 50 million.
“That leaves clubs like Ajax, PSV, or Feyenoord thinking: ‘What are *we* supposed to do?’ The pool of players available to us is obviously a different story.”
