Antonin Kinsky has spoken about his development at Tottenham Hotspur after committing his long-term future to the club.
Kinsky’s Tottenham career has taken a remarkable turn over the last few months. The young goalkeeper recovered from a nightmare Champions League debut in March to become one of De Zerbi’s most important players during the closing weeks of the campaign.
Following Guglielmo Vicario’s hernia injury, Kinsky started every remaining league match under the Italian and produced a series of outstanding performances to help Spurs secure Premier League survival on the final day.
Tottenham were tipped to sign an established first-choice goalkeeper earlier in the summer, but that now appears unlikely after the club brought in Martin Dubravka as a free-agent backup.
Multiple reports, including those from Fabrizio Romano, indicate that Kinsky is expected to begin next season as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, and that was reinforced when the Czech was handed a new contract until 2031.

Antonin Kinsky delighted after signing new Tottenham contract
Speaking to SPURSPLAY a day after putting pen to paper on his new deal, Kinsky admitted the extension felt like another important step in his Tottenham journey.
“Of course, this signing for me is another step to put me closer to that position, especially the end of the season that we had,” he said.
“It makes me really happy and I feel the trust as well from the Club.
“It made me happy because I came to Tottenham one year and a half ago and my expectations were definitely to fight for the spot in the club, to have a chance to play the games in this shirt.
“When I look back, it’s a nice story already and I’m looking forward to the next moments and experiences.”
The goalkeeper also revealed he believes he has developed significantly since arriving in North London, crediting Tottenham’s goalkeeping coaches for playing a major role in improving his ‘all-round game’.
Antonin Kinsky excited by what lies ahead
Kinsky was also asked about the arrival of Martin Dubravka and the competition for places next season.
“For sure, I feel I’m a better keeper,” he said. “I’m not the one to judge, that’s for the fans and the coaches, and, at the same time, I know it’s a big contribution of the coaches that were involved and that helped me so much.”
The 22-year-old then looked ahead to what he hopes will be an exciting campaign under De Zerbi.
“The team is so strong, the team is good. There is a huge opportunity to be successful this season and definitely I want to take part in that. I want to contribute and I hope we will give the fans what they are waiting for and what we want.
“There is a lot to come in the next season, which makes me really excited, which makes me hungry and motivated to come prepared because there will be a lot going on in the pre-season.”
