A former Arsenal star has told a highly sought-after Tottenham Hotspur youngster to stay put at the club, insisting that he can compete for major accolades at N17.
There was a risk of a mass exodus from Tottenham if the club had gone down this season, but the Lilywhites managed to avoid that with a final-day win over Everton.
While Roberto De Zerbi has asked for a summer rebuild, the Italian made it clear that huge changes are not required for the club to get back competing where they should be.
One highly-rated Spurs youngster, who has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, has now been told to stay put at Spurs.

Anders Limpar reacts to speculation over Lucas Bergvall’s Tottenham future
Chelsea and Aston Villa have both been credited with an interest in Lucas Bergvall, while some sources have suggested that Arsenal are also eyeing a shock move for the Spurs youngster.
Former Gunners and Sweden midfielder Anders Limpar has now shut down the speculation over the 21-year-old’s future, insisting that the former Djurgardens man cannot jump ship after the Lilywhites secured their place in the Premier League.
When asked about the rumours about Bergvall’s future, Limpar told Betano Online Casino: “Lucas Bergvall to Arsenal? We have a perfect team at Arsenal. The two Swedes at Tottenham need to stay. Tottenham are going to stay up. So the players have to stay. You can’t just sign a new contract and then leave, especially now when they’ve been struggling.
They are under contract and need to make Tottenham great again. He can’t just flee the ship if it’s sinking. I don’t like that feeling, especially with Lucas signing a long-term deal again.”
Limpar says Spurs can challenge for the Premier League title
The Lilywhites certainly have a lot of work to do to improve their squad this summer after two back-to-back 17th place finishes in the Premier League.
However, Limpar believes that the club’s struggles are down to their injury issues, insisting that De Zerbi’s men could even challenge for the title if everyone remains fit.
The pundit added about Spurs: “They are all waiting for the day after to be fit. They’ve been playing with a B side for the last 25 games, all of them are injured. It’s a frightening feeling when all the Tottenham players are fit. They can be up there, competing for the title.
“They are that good with Dejan and Lucas in the team, and all the rest of the injured players. So, in my opinion, they should be careful about leaving Tottenham. They should stay. Yes, they should stay and not think about leaving at the moment. I love those two players, they’re really good for Sweden, and they’ve been really good for Tottenham. So please stay and make them great again.”
