Inter Milan have taken a huge step towards completing a deal to sign Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario during the upcoming summer transfer window.
While Spurs are currently focused on ensuring they avoid relegation from the Premier League, big changes are expected in the squad during the upcoming transfer window.
Several senior Tottenham stars are expected to be sold this summer as the Lillywhites undertake a rebuild ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first season in charge.
One of those who appears to be on his way out is Guglielmo Vicario, who has reportedly been locked in talks with Inter Milan over recent weeks.

Inter Milan agree personal terms with Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario
Gazzetta dello Sport are now reporting that Inter have now taken a ‘decisive step’ to bring the Spurs goalkeeper to the San Siro.
The report claims that the Nerazzurri management have now reached an agreement with Vicario on personal terms, with the Tottenham star agreeing to both the salary and length of contract that the Serie A giants offered.
This is because the 29-year-old was ‘ready to return’ to Italy after three years in North London, but the report makes it clear that Inter still need to agree a fee with Tottenham.
The publication adds that Spurs’ asking price will be affected by whether they stay up or go down, which is why Inter are rooting for the Lilywhites to get relegated.
Inter still weighing up whether or not to sign Vicario
Despite agreeing terms with the former Empoli man, some other sources from Italy have said that the goalkeeper’s move to the San Siro is far from guaranteed.
Some outlets have claimed that Spurs could price Vicario out of a switch to Inter, whose valuation of the 29-year-old is £13m short of Tottenham’s.
CalcioMercato have claimed that Inter have also not ruled out signing a cheaper alternative to Vicario and potentially making Pepo Martinez their number one.
