Football pundit and former Spurs player Jamie O’Hara has been uninhibited in his criticism of Tottenham’s recent form. Despite believing something has to change in N17, O’Hara thinks manager alternatives to Ange Postecoglou will be limited in January.

Ange Postecoglou retains Tottenham board support
External pressure on Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou continues to build after another Premier League loss away to Everton.
The confused first-half performance against Everton, born from Postecoglou fielding a changed formation, has increased scrutiny on Spurs’ manager.
Reports have indicated that Tottenham’s injury crisis is a considerable caveat to Spurs’ results falling well below expectations. The board understand the unique struggles Postecogou is facing and are willing to back him through this period.
That being said, if Tottenham are unable to secure vital results in the next few weeks, which could see them progress in the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, a review of Postecoglou’s position may take place.

Jamie O’Hara believes Ryan Mason would take over as Spurs manager
Jamie O’Hara believes Tottenham’s options are limited regarding replacing Ange Postecoglou as manager. Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara said: “The biggest problem we’ve got is that Daniel Levy is too embarrassed to sack him.
“Because if we do sack him, Ryan Mason gets put in charge because no manager in the Premier League and no manager in Europe is going to want to take the job now until the end of the season. So we would be stuck with Ryan Mason.
“He’s got egg on his face, Daniel Levy, because he’s got to stick with him because no one else wants the job right now.”

Ange Postecoglou can turn things around with a better squad
Knowing that Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven would not return until the end of January, it is astonishing that Tottenham need not prepare for a defender to join the club early in January.
Praise for Archie Gray is well deserved, but Tottenham require more experienced players in defence and attack to help out the team while there are so many absences.
No hypothetical new manager would get much more from a squad with one fit centre-back and two fit senior forwards. Postecoglou would have been helped greatly by having reinforcements join earlier in the window.
Now that some players are returning from injury and Spurs may still sign an outfield player before the end of the window, Postecoglou deserves the opportunity to change the team’s fortunes with an improved squad while they remain in all four competitions.
