Jamie O’Hara has revealed whether he expects Tottenham to be back in the European places this season following two back-to-back 17th-placed finishes.

Even though Spurs only avoided relegation on the final day of last season, there is a strong sense of optimism and excitement heading into the new season.

That is partly down to the club having undertaken a substantial squad rebuild and now being managed by Roberto De Zerbi, who has won over Spurs fans with his enthusiasm and passion.

With the new campaign just two days away, the Lilywhites will hope to be back towards the top end of the table, and one pundit believes they will improve significantly from last season.

Jamie O’Hara expects Tottenham to finish sixth in Premier League

Many teams across the Premier League are in transition, with three of the so-called ‘big six’ having new managers in charge.

Jamie O’Hara believes that the big six will constitute next season’s top six, backing Tottenham to secure Europa League football in De Zerbi’s first full season in charge.

The pundit said on talkSPORT: “Arsenal will win the league, Man City will finish second, Man United will finish third, Chelsea will finish fourth, Liverpool will finish fifth and Spurs will finish sixth.”

Jamie Carragher says Spurs have a ‘real opportunity’ to aim even higher

Jamie Carragher believes that the transition happening at the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man City, along with Tottenham’s lack of European football, could give them a big opportunity.

The Sky Sports pundit suggested that De Zerbi’s men could get into the Champions League spots if things click for them.

According to reports, the Tottenham boss also privately believes that a top four/five finish is possible for his side in the upcoming campaign.
