Tottenham are interested in signing 11x league winner this summer – Journalist confirms

Bild reporter Christian Falk has now confirmed that Tottenham are one of the clubs plotting a summer move for an experienced Bayern Munich attacker, but the Lilywhites are facing competition from two other Premier League clubs.

Daniel Levy and the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy evidently have a good relationship with the Bayern Munich top brass, with the two clubs striking a number of deals over the last 18 months.

Harry Kane and Eric Dier have swapped N17 for the Allianz Arena while Mathys Tel moved in the opposite direction in the most recent transfer window.

It has now emerged that Tottenham are one of the leading contenders to raid the Bavarian club for another pacy attacker, whose future in Munich is thought to be in doubt.

Tottenham battling Premier League rivals for Kingsley Coman

Christian Falk has explained that Kingsley Coman is on the radar of a few Premier League sides ahead of the summer transfer window, including Tottenham Hotspur.

The journalist explained that Vicent Kompany’s men could sacrifice the 28-year-old in order to make space for new signings and named Newcastle and Liverpool as the two other English clubs who have shown interest in the former Juventus man.

Falk said on The Daily Briefing: “Kingsley Coman is attracting Premier League interest. I heard about interest from Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham. Saudi Arabia is also a topic at the moment. I personally wouldn’t sell him at Bayern Munich, but if you want to change the squad, you have to sell someone!”

Can Spurs convince Coman to join Ange Postecoglou?

Agreeing a deal with Bayern will be straightforward for Spurs, not just because of the relationship the two clubs have forged, but also potentially because of the money that the German club owe the Premier League side for the Harry Kane deal.

However, Tottenham’s challenge will perhaps be to convince Coman, who might have doubts about moving to a club that cannot offer him Champions League football.

If the likes of Liverpool come knocking for the winger, it is going to be very difficult for Ange Postecoglou’s men to win the race for this signature.
