Tottenham played their first Champions League match in three years on Tuesday, and some big names from the Lewis family were in attendance.
The Europa League winners got their Champions League campaign off to a winning start, overcoming Villarreal 1-0 in North London.
Thomas Frank admitted that Spurs were not at their best offensively against Villarreal, but the Dane insisted that he is over the moon with the win and the clean sheet.
The 51-year-old would have also had extra nerves, given that it was his first Champions League match as manager, and he will be relieved to have three points on board, especially given that some important people were watching.

Lewis family members were in attendance for the Villarreal clash
While Daniel Levy was a regular at Tottenham’s home games, the Lewis family members have not been spotted often at the club’s stadium over the years, but that is now changing after Levy’s exit.
According to The Daily Mail, Vivienne and Charles Lewis, the two children of Joe Lewis, were both in attendance for the club’s 1-0 win over Villarreal.
Alongside them was Tottenham’s new non-executive chairman, Peter Charrington, and chief executive, Vinai Venkatesham. The club’s technical director, Johan Lange, was also in attendance, as he always is.
The Lewis family want the right optics after Daniel Levy’s ousting
The Lewis family have said all the right things in the press, stating that they want to usher in a new era of on-pitch success at Tottenham.
They clearly are concerned about the optics, which is why they are now attending matches to show the supporters that they are indeed taking an interest in the fortunes of the club.
However, in reality, whether they attend matches or not is irrelevant. What is more important is their willingness to invest funds into the club, which ENIC have had little interest in doing in the 24 years they have owned it.
