Line Up: Spurs v Brentford – No Hojbjerg

Ryan Mason has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Brentford.

The north Londoners are up first in today’s lunchtime kick-off and will be looking to take all three points to put the pressure firmly on Brighton in the race for Europa League qualification with the Seagulls not in action until tomorrow when they welcome Southampton who have already been condemned to the Championship.

A run of just one win from their last six games has seen Spurs end any hopes of another season of Champions League football and will be keen to secure the victory in front of their own fans for the last time this campaign.

The Bees are without striker Ivan Toney who is set to miss the next eight months due to suspension with Mason admitting at yesterday’s pre-match press conference that the absence of the England international has not changed Tottenham’s preparation for the fixture.

He told Football.London: “It changes some things, but probably their biggest strength is they are a team. They have shown they are a strong team and regardless of who is playing, they have a very clear identity and they play to that.

“Yes, of course they have an individual who is not playing but it doesn’t change our preparation for the game.”

Spurs are once again without Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur who will be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign through injury.
