Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has had his say Harry Kane’s performance in the 2-1 win at Brighton last night.
Sugar described our star striker’s current performances as “slow at the moment”. Kane scored his third goal of the season from the penalty spot after Glenn Murray bizarrely stuck out an arm to block Kieran Trippier’s free kick when in the wall.
Kane’s return to the scoresheet made it an even better evening for Spurs as his penalty in the first half ended a five-game goalless run and also drew him level with Jermain Defoe on 143 goals for the club and moved him to fifth in the all-time scoring charts.
Sugar’s description of Kane’s display is certainly on the harsh side, the forward who was captaining Spurs in the absence of the injured Hugo Lloris linked up well with his midfield and had a couple of attempts on goal.
Agree he is slow at the moment https://t.co/PHTrqkUGgn
