Louis Saha believes that Tottenham Hotspur can surprise many people with how well they do in the Premier League during the upcoming season.
Two months can be a long time in football, as demonstrated by the feeling surrounding Tottenham at the moment.
Spurs fans who had to bear the agony of a relegation battle until May are now excited ahead of the new season, as the club embark on a new era under Roberto De Zerbi.
The club’s owners have put their money where their mouth is, having backed De Zerbi to the tune of £237m this summer, as they aim to give the Italian the tools he needs to get the club back up the Premier League table.

Louis Saha expects Tottenham to finish in the Champions League places
Spurs also have the luxury of one game a week next season, having failed to qualify for Europe.
Reports indicate that De Zerbi privately believes that Tottenham can challenge for Champions League qualification, and Saha is confident that the Lilywhites will achieve that goal.
The former Tottenham striker told Football.London: “With the money Spurs are spending this summer, the Champions League is exactly what they are aiming for and will be expecting of Roberto De Zerbi and his players. They are making a statement, spending hundreds of millions and signing good free agents, they are assembling a team to compete with the very best in world football.
“Spurs have the best infrastructure of any club in world football, and it looks like they are now intending on competing with the very best. They have signed some terrific players, and they will only play one game a week for the majority of next season. Therefore, I expect them to qualify for the Champions League easily next season.”
Saha admits Spurs need more signings
The Frenchman has been impressed with the business the Lilywhites have done so far, suggesting that Tottenham now boast one of the best midfields in the league.
However, Saha opined that the club need more top-class additions to their forward line in order to close the gap with the best teams in the country.
The pundit added: “I think a midfield of Tonali, Fernandes and James Maddison will be fantastic next season, one of the best in the league. Over the past few years, Spurs have always had players of good quality but have struggled getting them to gel for a full 90 minutes of a football game,” said the Frenchman.
“Spurs need to ensure they are maintaining tempo and quality throughout games. They can’t let teams overwhelm them as easily as they did last season. Spurs have signed Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, which will help them with this. However, I still feel like they need more signings in forward areas if they are going to be competing for trophies next season.”
