Marca make a confident claim about Gareth Bale’s future

According to a report from Marca, Gareth Bale’s time at Real Madrid is over and the Spanish giants will look to move him on in the summer.

Bale’s comments on his future while on international duty with Wales have created controversy back in the UK among some Spurs fans.

The Welshman claimed that his plan was to return to Real Madrid next season after his loan spell at Tottenham comes to end and some Spurs supporters on social media were left disappointed.

However, Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett clarified the player’s comments, explaining that it was taken out of context. Barnett added that a decision is yet to be made on the 31-year-old’s future.

Marca now confidently assert that, whatever happens with Bale next season, he is not likely to be at Real Madrid unless the situation changes radically.

The Madrid hierarchy reportedly believe that the winger’s time at the Santiago Bernabeu is up and Los Blancos are said to be keen on getting his salary off their wage bill in order to fund potential moves for their transfer targets.

Given Real Madrid’s desperation to get rid of Bale, the Spanish giants might well be willing to subsidise his salary once again. However, whether or not Spurs look to bring him back next season would depend on how he plays until the end of the season and where the club finish in the table.
