A fresh report has shed light on what Mauricio Pochettino thinks about making a fairytale return to Tottenham Hotspur right now, with the Argentine still thought to be in close contact with Daniel Levy.

Did Mauricio Pochettino send a hint about a possible Tottenham return?
Whenever a Tottenham head coach has come under pressure over the last five years, Pochettino‘s name has often been mentioned as a potential replacement. This is certainly not surprising, given the success he had in N17 and the connection he has with the Spurs fans.
In Tottenham’s FA Cup defeat at Villa Park last Sunday, the travelling contingent was heard singing Pochettino’s name, thus making it clear to Daniel Levy who they want him to bring in if he decides to part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
When asked about his name being sung by Tottenham fans, rather than distancing himself from the job, Pochettino spoke about the connection he has with the Spurs supporters and the great squad that the Lilywhites have. Some perceived this as a hint that he is open to a return.

What Pochettino thinks about a potential Tottenham return
TEAMtalk have now claimed that Pochettino is enjoying his life in America at the moment and is keen to grow US soccer ahead of their home World Cup next year.
He wants to leave a ‘lasting legacy’ on the game in the country and is enjoying working with the young players coming through the ranks at the moment.
The report states that the 52-year-old is ‘relishing the opportunity to manage on the international stage’ and is thus not considering jumping ship.
Even though the former Tottenham manager enjoys a friendship with Levy and remains in contact with the Spurs chairman, a return to the Premier League side is not thought to be at the top of his mind right now.

Tottenham do not want to make an immediate managerial change
The outlet goes on to explain that Spurs are not considering parting ways with Postecoglou right now as there is an acceptance that he is been dealt a very difficult hand with injuries.
The North London club’s plan is to review the Australian’s work at the end of the season and assess if he is the right option to take the club forward.
However, the publication adds that if Tottenham are forced into a chance before the end of the season, there is a ‘good chance’ that they will give the job to Ryan Mason on an interim basis before pursuing Andoni Iraola in the summer.
