Mikey Moore reminded the Tottenham faithful of his quality against Charlton after struggling to make an impact against Brentford last Saturday.
The youngster was named in the starting eleven for Spurs’ opening Premier League game of the season due to injuries in the Lilywhites’ forward line.
Much like the rest of the Tottenham team, the 18-year-old did not have the best of outings against the Bees, but he bounced back terrifically in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Moore ran at the Charlton defenders every time he got the ball and sent the club on their way to a 5-1 win by opening the scoring with a powerful left-foot drive on 41 minutes.

De Zerbi has hinted that Moore is about to be loaned out so that he can get regular game time this season, even though he would like to keep the youngster at the club.
If the teenager does complete his expected loan move to Köln, it would certainly be a great way to sign off from North London this year, and he admitted that he was delighted to be able to contribute to the team’s win.
When asked about his goal, Moore told the club’s official website: “Yeah, it was a good moment to score in the game and obviously scoring in the stadium is always an unreal feeling. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
“Charlton were tough to play against for the first 35-40 minutes, but when you score, it changes their game plan, and they’ve got to go for it a bit more. That helped us in the long run of the game, and we obviously built on it really well.”
When asked how sweet the feeling was to score after a tough afternoon at Brentford, the winger said: “Yeah, 100%. I should have scored over the weekend – one of the chances I had, probably two of them to be honest. It was a bit of a relief to score and get on the scoresheet for Tottenham again. It’s what I enjoy doing and what you play for.”

During the win over Charlton, the Spurs fans sang ‘he’s one of our own’ to Moore, a chant previously reserved for the club’s biggest modern-day legend, Harry Kane.
The Spurs academy graduate admitted that it was a dream come true to hear the Tottenham faithful sing his name.
When asked about the moment, Moore said: “It’s unreal when they’re all singing your name. It’s what you play for and what I dreamed of as a little kid.”
