Tottenham remain in the hunt for Morgan Gibbs-White, but the race for the midfielder’s signature is now intensifying ahead of the new season.

Nottingham Forest famously stopped Gibbs-White from moving to Tottenham last summer despite the Lilywhites activating his confidential release clause.

It has emerged over recent weeks that Spurs have revived their interest in the England international Gibbs-White, who enjoyed a fine season at the City Ground, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists.

Unsurprisingly, a host of Premier League clubs have now turned their attention to the 26-year-old after the spectacular campaign he just had.

Tottenham have to battle Arsenal, Man United and others for Morgan Gibbs-White

CaughtOffside have confirmed that Tottenham are one of the clubs eyeing a move for the former Wolves man, but the Lilywhites face competition from four other Premier League giants for the player.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all shown interest in Gibbs-White, who is also on the radar of a few European clubs.

It is revealed that Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to add more creativity and goal threat between the lines, and they believe the Forest man will offer something different to their current midfield options.

Man United, meanwhile, are looking for players who can create chances as well as press with energy, and have identified Gibbs-White as someone who can make an immediate impact at Old Trafford.

Nottingham Forest do not want to sell Gibbs-White

According to CaughtOffside, Nottingham Forest expect Elliot Anderson to leave the club in a big-money deal this summer, and they want to avoid losing another key player in the same window.

They are ‘determined’ to keep hold of Gibbs-White and are ‘prepared to stand firm’ in the face of growing interest.

The 26-year-old could stay at the City Ground unless there is a ‘huge’ offer, with the deal described as one of the ‘toughest’ of the summer window.
