Tottenham’s new signing Mykhailo Mudryk has now revealed his excitement to be a Tottenham player and has provided an update on his fitness.
Tottenham Hotspur were able to add more depth to their attack on deadline day despite having already signed Omar Marmoush and Savio last week.
Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk was able to complete a loan switch in time, offering Roberto De Zerbi another option on the left wing for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old Ukraine international will now have to compete for a starting spot on the left with Mathys Tel, especially with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons out injured.

Tottenham’s Mykhailo Mudryk gives first interview after completing loan move
Following his move, Mudryk has now sat down with the official Tottenham channels for his first interview as a Spurs player.
The on-loan star was quick to express his delight at becoming a Tottenham player following his switch from Chelsea. Reports suggest Mudryk made it clear that Spurs were his preferred destination after the Lilywhites showed interest before signing him.
With a move now finalised, the 25-year-old has revealed how eager he is to get started. He said: “It’s such a great feeling. I definitely cannot wait to start training, to start playing for this club.
“I’m so so excited to reunite it with Roberto De Zerbi. I clearly see it’s like such a strong team, such good players. I’m really looking forward to it to play with them and to sharing the pitch, the dressing room, and share all the moments with them.”
Mudryk has worked with the Spurs boss in the past during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk back in 2021-22. The pair certainly formed a close bond during their time together, and their relationship looks to have continued, with Mudryk making it clear that De Zerbi is his football father.
He added when speaking about the Spurs boss: “He’s my football father. I believe in him, I trust him. If he needs me I’m always here and I know what he wants from me and with him, I always I’m always feeling I’m improving. He can take out best of you and he like put your on a right way to develop your skills, your game.
“Such a smart, offensive and dominant type of playing, which suits all attacking players. He demand from the his players, their best.
“That’s why you can play on your best qualities. I think he was like such a crucial coach in my career, which embraced my potential, but not like a 100%. But I think he knows how to do it even more.”
Mudryk addresses fitness concerns and reveals his aims at Spurs
There certainly are some worries about the winger’s fitness, with Mudryk yet to kick a ball in a competitive game since 2024 due to a ban from football.
The Ukrainian has since returned to training this summer, doing so when he was at Chelsea, but he has not been involved in any competitive game for the Blues, although he featured during their pre-season tour.
The wide forward has now revealed how he is feeling physically, telling Tottenham’s official channels: “I’m ready to go.
“Physically, I feel good. First of all, I want to be player who bring results brings creativity, brings speed. I want to be so helpful in offensive zone and defensive as well.
“All the fans love these moments, When the wingers especially bring some fire, you know, bring some… confidence, bring some aggressive game 1 v 1 game.
“I think that’s what… all the sports fan will love it. I’m so glad to be in your club and I hope for your warm welcome and bring my best qualities and do my best to let you enjoy my game.”
