With Tottenham looking to complete a loan move for Mykhailo Mudryk, the player’s stance has now emerged as Leeds United remain in the mix.
It is well and truly the closing stages of the summer transfer window, given all the many twists to have been reported in the last few hours.
Tottenham have gone from being linked with a move for Cody Gakpo for most of the summer, to Iliman Ndiaye and now Mykhailo Mudryk in less than twenty‑four hours.
The latest links with the Chelsea man stem from complications in their pursuit of Ndiaye, with Manchester City now understood to have won the race.
What Mykhailo Mudryk has told Chelsea about Tottenham move
However, Mudryk is not short of interest this summer following his return to football after his two‑year ban for anti‑doping violations.
Leeds United were linked with the Chelsea man earlier in the transfer window and could perhaps rival Tottenham for the winger’s signature in the final hours of the transfer window.
But fresh reports from journalist Ben Jacobs have now revealed Mudryk’s stance following links to Spurs. The journalist has confirmed that the Ukraine international is giving priority to Tottenham and has informed Chelsea that he wants the move.
Ben Jacobs wrote on X: “Mudryk giving total priority to Spurs. Told he has informed Chelsea he wants the move.”
Spurs’ stance on Mudryk and late window plans
Reports have since revealed that Tottenham are not pursuing a permanent deal for Mudryk in the final stages of the transfer window.
Instead, it is understood that Spurs want to sign the wide forward on loan and are working on a double Chelsea swoop before the window slams shut.
Tottenham are also in the market for a centre‑back, with Tosin Adarabioyo identified as a replacement for Kevin Danso, who is on the radar of Sunderland.
