Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans following his Spurs debut against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur managed a 0-0 draw last weekend in their clash against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
That draw brought an end to a two-game losing streak after the Lilywhites suffered defeats in their opening two matches of the season to Brentford and Newcastle United.
The match against Forest was an improved defensive display from Spurs, who had conceded five goals across their first two outings.
However, their attack remained toothless, with Tottenham yet to score a goal this season.
Mykhailo Mudryk releases message to Tottenham fans after debut
Against Forest, Roberto De Zerbi had almost all his attacking players at his disposal, with Omar Marmoush, Savio, Dominic Solanke, Mathys Tel, Mohammed Kudus and new loan signing Mykhailo Mudryk all taking to the pitch.
Spurs were still not able to grab a goal, although a few chances fell the way of Marmoush, who just failed to hit the target.
Mudryk was also an exciting addition, with the on-loan winger looking like a bright spark in what was his Tottenham debut and his first competitive game since 2024.
The 25-year-old wide forward replaced Tel in the 74th minute and drew a few fouls while also looking to make things happen in the final third. Following his Spurs debut, Mudryk took to his Instagram stories and sent a message to Tottenham fans.
He said: “No feeling better to be back on the pitch. First minutes in new colours. Thanks for support, furthermore.”
De Zerbi urges patience with Mudryk and criticises Mathys Tel
Despite the wide forward managing 14 minutes of action, Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi remained adamant that the on-loan star is not ready to start games yet.
That is because Mudryk needs to build up his fitness following his long absence from football after his ban. De Zerbi was also critical of Mathys Tel, who the Ukrainian is set to battle with for a spot on the left of Spurs’ attack.
Opening up on Mudryk’s debut and Tel’s display, De Zerbi said: “He is not ready yet. He is working to reach the best physical condition. He needs time, he needs work. In that position, we have Mathys Tel, big potential. But also Mathys takes too many wrong decisions, and Mudryk.
“So, two big players, two big potential players. “But if we want to score, I think Marmoush has 15 goals. Solanke, the header for him, I consider a chance to score. It is not a shot on goal. But how many shots did Nottingham have today?”
