We have taken a look at Mykhailo Mudryk’s career numbers to see exactly what he can bring to the Tottenham attack this season.

Tottenham Hotspur completing a deal for Mykhailo Mudryk this summer transfer window is certainly one move no fan would have predicted back in June. Yet here we are with Spurs agreeing a loan with Chelsea that includes a £75 million option to buy.

Tottenham did not initially target Mudryk, it has to be said, with moves for Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye falling through before the Chelsea winger emerged as an alternative.

Roberto De Zerbi once claimed Mudryk had the potential to win the Ballon d’Or, a statement that now carries fresh intrigue as the Ukrainian prepares for a spell in north London.

With that in mind, we have taken a look at Mudryk’s numbers across his career to assess what Tottenham can realistically expect from the 25‑year‑old.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s career stats across Chelsea and Shakhtar

Mudryk has played over a century of games throughout his career, managing a total of 150 appearances including outings at youth level.

Across those matches, the Ukraine international has produced more than half a century of goal involvements, scoring 22 times and providing 30 assists.

Of his 150 appearances, 53 have come in the Premier League with Chelsea, where he managed five goals and six assists.

His best season with the Blues arrived in 2023/24, with Mudryk managing five goals and four assists in 31 Premier League appearances.

During his time in Ukraine, Mudryk delivered far stronger output in terms of goal involvements.

His best league season came in 2022/23, where he produced 13 goal contributions in 12 appearances, scoring seven goals and assisting six.

His second‑best campaign in Ukraine arrived under De Zerbi in 2021/22, where he returned two goals and seven assists in 11 league matches.

Mudryk has also shown flashes of quality in the Champions League, managing three goals and two assists in 14 appearances. Of course, these are decent numbers, although not jaw-dropping.

The big question, though, will be how quickly the wide forward can hit the ground running after being out for almost two years following an anti-doping violation ban.
