‘Back soon’ – Tottenham player provides update after latest injury

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has taken to social media to provide an update to supporters following his recent injury.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou revealed ahead of Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday that the Spaniard had picked up a muscular strain during training in the lead-up to the Premier League fixture.

The Australian admitted that he was hopeful that Porro would not miss too much game time with an approximate two-week timeframe (Football.London).

Spurs are not back in action until March 2nd when they host Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with no fixtures to play for the next fortnight.

Pedro Porro hoping to return from injury soon

Porro posted a video on his Instagram story (21/2/24) showing himself working out at SPZ Iron Training Club back in his homeland, which contained the caption ‘back soon’.

The 24-year-old’s place in the Tottenham starting line-up on the right side of the defence was taken by Emerson Royal, who has patiently had to wait on the bench for the majority of the season given Porro’s impact.

SpursWeb Opinion

Tottenham need Porro and Destiny Udogie both back fit and ready to play against Palace such is the importance of their contribution to Postecoglou’s front-foot style of football.

With respect to Emerson Royal and Ben Davies who operated the full-back positions last weekend, they simply are unable to offer the same level of impact as to what Porro and Udogie bring to the team.
