Report: Everton suffer another potential injury blow ahead of Tottenham clash

Tottenham Hotspur may need all the help they can get as they travel back to Merseyside this weekend, exactly a week after they gave away a 1-0 lead to lose to Liverpool at Anfield.

Tottenham have now won just three games out of ten in the Premier League and four out of 14 in all competitions so far this season.

The club are already out of the Carabao Cup and are in a fight to qualify for the Champions League knockouts after an away draw to Olympiacos and a 7-2 home defeat to Bayern.

Tottenham and Pochettino are in desperate need of a Premier League win and an away win, with Everton being the perfect opportunity to secure both.

It was reported earlier in the week that Everton would be without one of their key attackers in Bernard for the match, but a new update has revealed that there may be another absentee.

Marco Silva’s comments about Yerry Mina reveal that the club are not yet sure whether he will be available for the weekend. This comes after he missed the Brighton game and was then taken off early on Tuesday night after just 41 minutes.

Silva said (Liverpool Echo): “It’s too early to say to you about that. Before the game, he was completely ok. When we changed close to half-time he was in pain in that moment. When I spoke to him at the end of the game did was walking and did not feel pain any more. So it is a little strange.

“It is nothing special he has, even the injury was nothing really special. He had some pain disturbing him but we hope he will be ok in the next day or two.”

Football London described the news as a ‘big injury blow’ for Everton.
