Report names two Spurs stars were ‘upset’ by timing of Mourinho’s departure

The Telegraph has claimed that Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were both left upset by Daniel Levy’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho.

Reports have indicated that the Tottenham dressing room was split regarding Mourinho, with the Portuguese coach having lost a significant number of players in the dressing room.

However, it appears like the former Spurs boss still had the support of some influential players in the squad.

Apart from Kane and Son, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Eric Dier, Lucas Moura and Ben Davies also took to social media to thank Mourinho and wish him the best after the news of his sacking broke on Monday.

The Telegraph claim that Kane and Son were left upset by the timing of the club’s decision to part ways with the 58-year-old.

It is claimed that neither Kane nor Son were not informed personally about the decision to sack Mourinho and only learned of it from the media.

It was evident from the body language of different players over the last few months whether they still stood by Mourinho or had given up on him. It was clear to see that the likes of Kane, Son, Hojbjerg and Moura were still playing for him but the Portuguese coach seemed to have lost a lot of other players. It looks like his treatment of the likes of Dele, Winks and Bale has eventually come back to bite him.
