Report reveals what Joe Rodon has told Swansea amidst Tottenham interest

The Daily Mail has now revealed that Joe Rodon has informed Swansea City that he would like to play Premier League football as ‘as soon as possible’.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Tottenham’s pursuit of Rodon over the past week and a half.

Duncan Castles revealed on The Transfer Window Podcast that Bale has given a glowing assessment of the 22-year-old to Jose Mourinho, insisting that his international teammate is good enough to play for any team in the world.

Rodon has certainly done his reputation no harm during the international break, with some Wales fans raving about his display in the 1-0 win over Bulgaria on Wednesday and suggesting that he is more than ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

The Daily Mail suggest that Rodon himself keen to make the step up to the top flight and wants to complete the transfer before tomorrow’s deadline.

However, the report claims that Spurs are still facing competition from Leicester City for the centre-back, although the Foxes would prefer to sign him in January or next summer.
