Report: Spurs take ‘concrete steps’ towards player but Everton more interested

Tottenham Hotspur were frequently linked with Adrien Rabiot last year, as the ex-PSG man was set to become available on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.

However, it was Juventus who came in to snap the Frenchman up, and Rabiot has gone on to feature ten times for the Italian side in Serie A, as well as three times in the Champions League (TransferMarkt).

It appears that the Rabiot to Spurs rumours are now back, as Corriere dello Sport claim that both Tottenham and Arsenal have taken ‘concrete steps’ towards the player.

However, the report goes on to say that Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are the most interested party and would be willing to pay a €5m loan fee until the end of the season. They are also open to paying the player’s wages and adding an option to buy clause.

Juventus are apparently not keen on losing the player at this moment in time.
