Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their final 25-man Premier League squad after an extremely busy summer transfer window.
The wholesale changes that Roberto De Zerbi demanded at the end of last season have been made by the club after two successive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League.
The Lilywhites bought 10 new players through the door for the best part of £400m, and there have also been double-digit exits.
Spurs have a net spend of £146m across the summer window, which puts them in fourth place among the 20 Premier League clubs.
Richarlison is left out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad
Spurs have now confirmed their 25-man squad for the Premier League season, which is their final list until the January window with the big news being the omission of Richarlison.
Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert have been named in the squad despite going through rehabilitation with anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Tottenham have exactly the number of homegrown players stipulated as a minimum by the Premier League (8), and they have one over the limit of non-homegrown players allowed (18 as opposed to 17) with Richarlison proving to be the casualty.
Mathys Tel and Lucas Bergvall have been named in the U21 list rather than in the main 25-man squad. Here is Tottenham’s full squad:

Spurs are much stronger than last season but Roberto De Zerbi faces a big challenge
There is no question that Tottenham’s forward line and midfield are much stronger than they were last season, with De Zerbi now having a lot more quality options.
There can be an argument that the backline is slightly weaker, with Jan Paul van Hecke, Tosin Adarabioyo and Andy Robertson arriving in place of Cristian Romero, Kevin Danso and Djed Spence.
However, the big challenge for De Zerbi is ensuring that the team gels quickly together, given the wholesale changes that have been made.
We have seen in the past that clubs tend to struggle when such sweeping changes are made, but the Italian may not be afforded much time by some media figures, who expect Tottenham to be much stronger, given the money that they have spent.
