Malachi Hardy has been at the heart of the Tottenham defence in their last two pre-season outings against Sydney and Auckland and has looked very impressive.
Teenage sensation Luca Williams-Barnett has also caught the eye, often proving a livewire whenever he has been involved in friendly games this summer.

Many Tottenham fans are convinced that Williams-Barnett is the real deal, while Hardy is simply delighted to have been handed the opportunity to feature during pre-season.
Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi has now opened up on the club’s young talents and explained why their inclusion on Tottenham’s pre-season tour will be so important for their development.
De Zerbi said when speaking to football.london: “For one club like Tottenham, our level is crucial because when you go in the Champions League, European competition, to complete the list for the financial fair play is very important.
“Sometimes people forget the rules of the financial fair play, but it’s very important to produce players from the academy. Now we are working on three or four potential very good players like Luca Williams-Barnett, Malachi Hardy and Mikey Moore, even if he’s older.
“It’s part of my job and I work with the same passion, with the same details, with the same behaviour because it’s important for now and for the future of the club.”
What De Zerbi’s comments could mean for Tottenham’s youngsters
While there is a willingness on Tottenham’s part to let go of a few of their young players this summer, De Zerbi’s comments do hint that Hardy, Williams-Barnett and Moore are likely to be part of Spurs’ long-term planning.
However, that does not mean a loan move is off the cards for these youngsters, especially with Tottenham not being involved in Europe this season.
Moore is already attracting interest this transfer window, with reports suggesting that three clubs are keen to sign him on loan while Spurs are open to sending him abroad.
