Savinho’s latest social media activity has now added further intrigue to Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of the Manchester City winger, with speculation around a possible move to north London continuing to grow.
Tottenham Hotspur continue to work hard to strengthen their squad this summer transfer window ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Bringing in players capable of elevating the first team remains their priority, and Manchester City’s Savinho is one player they are keen on.
Talks between Spurs and City are progressing well, as Spurs Web reported earlier this week, with Savinho keen to secure a move away from Manchester City.

Savinho’s latest Instagram post fuels Tottenham transfer speculation
The Brazil international endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign with the Citizens, managing just one goal and one assist in 24 matches. That underwhelming return saw him miss out on the Brazil squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup finals.
It certainly was not what he would have hoped for after opting against a move to Spurs last summer, following Pep Guardiola’s convincing him to stay and Savinho’s signing a new deal.
Rumours surrounding a move to Tottenham are now heating up, and taking to his Instagram stories, Savinho posted a picture of himself hard at work in the gym with Lil Wayne’s Let It All Work Out attached to the image.
Lil Wayne is among several celebrities who support Tottenham, and with his music being used in the background, it could perhaps hint at Savinho’s desire to make the move to North London.
Spurs still weighing up other winger options
While Spurs remain keen on a move for Savinho, the Brazilian is far from the only wide forward on their radar.
Spurs Web has since reported that two other names are on Tottenham’s shortlist for wingers as they continue to explore options to bolster the squad.
Harry Wilson, who enjoyed a stellar campaign with Fulham and managed a significantly higher goal contribution tally than Savinho, is one of the alternatives.
The Fulham man could be available on a free transfer with his contract set to expire this summer, while Anan Khalaili of Union SG is also on their shortlist.
Of the three options, Wilson stands out as the player most likely to improve the Lilywhites’ attacking output.
Tottenham managed just 48 goals all season, with only Richarlison reaching double figures for goals in the Premier League.
| Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Goal contributions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harry Wilson | 36 | 10 | 7 | 17 |
| Anan Khalaili | 52 | 7 | 5 | 12 |
| Savinho | 36 | 4 | 3 | 7 |
