Spurs loanee bags club Player of the Month award for September

On-loan Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Oliver Skipp, has been voted Norwich City’s Player of the Month for September, after an impressive start to his spell at Carrow Road.

Skipp has been in and around the first-team at Spurs for a couple of seasons now, and he seems to have won over Jose Mourinho, just as he did his processor Mauricio Pochettino.

The Spurs boss previously admitted that he would have liked to keep Skipp at the club but agreed to loan him out since that would be better for the midfielder’s long-term development (Alasdair Gold).

There was plenty of excitement among some Spurs fans about the loan move, with some expecting the 20-year-old to tear up the Championship.

Norwich have not made the best of starts to the season as they picked up four points from their first three League games last month, while also being knocked out of the Carbao Cup by Luton Town in the first round.

However, Skipp has put in some excellent individual displays for Daniel Farke’s side, and the England Under-21 international has been rewarded with September’s Player of the Month award.

Hopefully, Skipp can build on his good start to the campaign and cotinue to boss games in the Championship. Both him and Troy Parrott could potentially come back to Spurs as completely different players, with a season of regular football under their belt. That could potentially save us millions in the transfer market in the coming windows.
