Tottenham trained at Hotspur Way on Wednesday morning

As part of the standard UEFA protocol, the media are invited to watch a small portion of the club’s training session ahead of each Europa League fixture.

Today was no different in this case, however, somewhat surprisingly there were two members of the Tottenham squad who have returned to take part in the session at the club’s Hotspur Way training base.

Cristian Romero, who has not featured for Tottenham since picking up an injury upon his return during the defeat to Chelsea in early December was back out on the pitch.

Fellow South American Rodrigo Bentancur was also present, with the midfielder having been missing from action since suffering a concussion early on in the Carabao Cup win against Liverpool earlier this month.

Radu Dragusin was also fit to participate despite having been forced off at half time in Spurs’ 3-2 loss at Everton at the weekend due to a head wound.

PA Sport journalist George Sessions was among those watching the session and took to X to reveal news of the returning players.
