Spurs reveal what squad number Joe Hart will wear

Tottenham Hotspur have revealed the squad number their most recent addition, Joe Hart will wear.

Spurs announced the capture of Hart on Tuesday, with the transfer having appeared to have moved swiftly after reports of the Lilywhites interest in the shot-stopper first emerged.

The 33-year-old came across very well in his first interview with Spurs TV and insisted that he is ready to do all he can on and off the pitch to help the team win trophies.

The former England number one has had a difficult couple of years at West Ham and Burnley and will be hoping to rebuild his career in North London.

The transfer has been well received by some Spurs fans on social media, who are convinced that the former Manchester City number one can make a decent understudy to Hugo Lloris.

Spurs today revealed that the goalkeeper will be wearing the number 12 which became vacant when Victor Wanyama left Spurs to join Montreal Impact back in March.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs fans seem to be split on whether Hart is coming in to be our number two or to replace Vorm as our third choice. I would not be surprised if Hart is picked to play the Europa League matches ahead of Gazzaniga. However, the main reason that Jose has bought him in is for his leadership qualities and influence on the dressing room.
