Tottenham’s Alejo Veliz ended his time at Rosario Central with a bang ahead of his big move to a Brazilian club Bahia
Tottenham’s attempts to sell Veliz to Bahia in January collapsed as the club was unable to terminate the striker’s loan spell with Rosario Central prematurely.
However, just after the closure of the transfer window, Bahia reached an agreement with Spurs on a €9m (£7.8m) deal for the striker, who is expected to have his medical this summer before sealing the transfer.
The striker’s time at his boyhood club has ended perfectly ahead of his move to Brazil.

According to a report in Ole, Veliz’s appearance against Universidad Central de Venezuela in the Copa Libertadores on Tuesday was his final appearance for the Argentine club.
The 23-year-old is now expected to depart Estadio Gigante de Arroyito, with Spurs’ coffers set to be boosted.
The centre-forward said goodbye in style as he opened the scoring for Central in the 21st minute, sending them on their way to a 4-0 win.
It was a typical poacher’s finish from Veliz, who was the first to react after one of his teammates hit the crossbar with an audacious overhead kick. Watch his goal below:
Spurs can benefit financially in the future from Veliz’s growth
The youngster has not put up huge goal numbers on his return to Rosario, finishing the season with six goals in 23 appearances for Rosario Central.
It was previously reported by Football.London that Tottenham have retained a 20 per cent sell-on clause for Veliz in their deal with Bahia.
That means that should the centre-forward fulfil his potential and make another big move to Europe in the future, the Lilywhites will gain financially from the transfer.
