Tottenham Hotspur have appointed a new director as the club’s new-look board continues to take shape, and he has an interesting history.
Spurs are now in a new era, with the club continuing to finalise their leadership structure following the exit of Daniel Levy in the summer.
The biggest change was the arrival of Vinai Venketasham as the new CEO in the summer, with the former Arsenal chief now calling the shots at the Lilywhites.
Subsequently, it was announced by Spurs that Peter Charrington would take over as the non-executive chairman, and there has now been another addition to the club’s board.

Tottenham appoint Eric Hinson to their board
Spurs have now announced that another senior executive has been added to the club’s board.
Eric Hinson, who has experience working in the aviation and aerospace sectors, has now been appointed as a non-executive director at Tottenham.
Hinson joins Peter Charrington, Vinai Venkatesham, Matthew Collecott and Jonathan Turner in the club’s board as the North Londoners embark on a new era.
Eric, who also served in the US Navy as an officer and a pilot in training, fleet and operational test squadrons, said on his appointment: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the Board and to be bringing a different set of skills to support the management team. I am looking forward to working with Vinai, Peter and the rest of the Board to support the great work already underway.”
Spurs are going through a transitional phase after Daniel Levy’s exit
It is widely acknowledged that Tottenham are in transition on the pitch following the exits of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, with Thomas Frank and his staff arriving in the summer.
Spurs are in an even bigger transitional phase off the pitch since the exit of Levy, who had ultimate power at the helm for 24 years.
According to reports, Tottenham are in the middle of making big changes to the leadership culture after Levy’s exit, with Venkatesham wanting to empower his executive team.
