Tottenham battle Arsenal and Liverpool for £47.5m winger who will play with Haaland this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a Norwegian international, whose price has now come to light ahead of the summer transfer window.

Spurs have struggled for quality in wide areas during the second part of the season following the injuries to Wilson Odobert and Mohammed Kudus.

The Lilywhites failed to replace Brennan Johnson in January, and Roberto De Zerbi has been forced to use Randal Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel on the flanks.

One would expect Spurs to prioritise strengthening the wide areas this summer, and they have now set their sights on an exciting Bundesliga star.

Tottenham battling Arsenal for Antonio Nusa

According to a report in FussballDaten (via Yard Breaker), Tottenham have expressed an interest in landing RB Leipzig star Antonio Nusa this summer.

It is revealed that the Lilywhites have been impressed by the Leipzig man’s pace, flair and directness.

However, Tottenham could face some intense competition, with their North London rivals, Arsenal, also keeping an eye on Nusa.

The report adds that the Norway international is seen as one of the ‘stars of the future’ by Leipzig, who are expected to demand €55m (£47.5m) for his signature.

Nusa is set to play alongside the likes of Erling Haaland with Norway at the World Cup this summer.

Liverpool could also challenge Spurs for Nusa

Meanwhile, another report in Football Insider also credits Tottenham with an interest in the 21-year-old, but suggests that the Lilywhites’ main competition may come from Liverpool.

The Reds want to sign two wingers this summer, due to the departure of Mohammed Salah and the injuries to Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

It is suggested that the Merseyside club view Nusa as a ‘top back up’ at left-wing as Arne Slot plans to reinforce his attack ahead of next season.
