Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on an exciting central midfielder, but they have to see off competition from Chelsea and another European club to land the player.

It has been widely reported that Roberto De Zebri wants to add at least one midfielder to his Spurs squad as part of his rebuild this summer.

This has been made even more likely by the fact that Yves Bissouma has signalled that his time at Tottenham is now over.

It has now emerged that the Lilywhites have set their sights on an all-action midfielder, who is winning many admirers in Turkey.

Tottenham and Chelsea are keen on Christ Inao Oulai

The player in question is Christ Inao Oulai, who has had an exceptional debut Super Lig season since his switch to Trabzonspor last month.

The versatile central midfielder played 31 times for the Turkish club, scoring two goals and providing four assists, and his performances have not gone unnoticed in England.

According to a report by Turkish outlet Gunebakis, the 20-year-old is attracting interest from two Premier League clubs ahead of the summer window.

The report says that Inao Oulai is on the wishlist of both Tottenham and Chelsea, who could battle it out for his signature this summer.

The two London clubs have sent scouts to Turkey to watch the youngster this season and have been impressed by what they have seen.

Another European club in the race for Inao Oulai as Trabzonspor reveal asking price

Meanwhile, Fotomac also back up the interest of the two London clubs in the 20-year-old, but they claim that another European side has shown interest.

The outlet reveals that Benfica are also keen on securing Inao Oulai’s signature, setting the stage for a big transfer race for his services.

Trabzonspor are open to selling the Ivory Coast international, but only if their €35m (£30.3m) asking price is met.
