Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting after reports emerged that Spurs have reignited their interest in Manchester City winger Savinho ahead of the summer transfer window, with opinions divided over whether he is the right fit for the rebuild.
Tottenham Hotspur will aim to improve their attack ahead of next season after an underwhelming offensive display in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
During that season, Spurs managed just 48 goals in the English top flight, the 12th-highest tally in the division, with only one of their first-team regulars reaching double figures, as Richarlison led the way with 11 league goals.
There is now a clear need for improvement in both creativity and goalscoring, and Spurs have identified Savinho as a potential solution to their attacking issues.

Tottenham fans react as Spurs reignite Savinho transfer interest
Tottenham were in for the Manchester City winger last summer and were willing to spend £70m to land Savinho, but City rejected their approach.
Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Spurs are once again in for Savinho this summer, with internal talks said to be taking place over a potential move.
Tottenham supporters who have seen the latest reports have shared mixed reactions on social media, with opinions split over whether he is the right target for the club’s rebuild.
One fan said: “Has our fan base already forgotten we just finished 2 points above the relegation zone? We are not exactly going to be getting Doue or Olise, and Savinho is a good player with similar energy to Kudus who was one of our best players last season before injury.”
Another added, “We need him badly. James Maddison is getting older and he cannot play every minute of every match. We need two good players for every position. We need strikers, forwards, strikers again, wingers. I hope Spurs management knows this fact. We cannot score goals! Average 1 goal per game. Most 2 goals.”
Others were less convinced, with a fan stating: “We desperately need someone with end product, Savinho is decent but is not that guy.”
A fourth Tottenham fan then commented: “I am not the biggest fan of this, depends on how much he will be hopefully nothing over £50m.”
One other fan believed Bowen was the better option: “Please no. We have Kudus and do not need another right winger. If we should sign a right winger sign Bowen because he is better and homegrown.”
While a final fan added: “Not sure about this, a large chunk of our transfer budget on one player?”
Savinho’s end product compared to Jarrod Bowen’s as Spurs fans express concern
Savinho did not have his best season at Manchester City in the just-concluded campaign, as he spent most of his time sidelined.
Tottenham will naturally be mindful of his injury record, especially given their own struggles with fitness across recent seasons.
In terms of end product, the Brazil international is not among the most prolific, particularly in front of goal, and in the 2025/26 season, he registered just one goal and two assists in 821 minutes.
However, the previous campaign highlighted his creative strengths, with Savinho producing 11 assists in 29 Premier League appearances, demonstrating the type of output he can deliver once settled.
By comparison, West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen, also linked with Tottenham, offers a more rounded attacking profile, contributing nine goals and 11 assists this season and potentially representing a more cost-effective option.
