Tottenham could hire 42-year-old manager to replace Postecoglou

Should Tottenham make the decision to move on from Ange Postecoglou, a German manager, who is currently out of work, is one of the options they will likely consider to replace him.

Are Tottenham considering sacking Ange Postecoglou?

No other Tottenham manager in the Daniel Levy era would have survived the kind of results that Ange Postecoglou has delivered over the last 12 months.

The fact that the Spurs hierarchy are being extremely patient with the Australian is clear evidence that they view this project very differently from previous ones and are sympathetic to the injury situation that the 59-year-old is dealing with.

Even though Tottenham only sit eight points above the drop zone at the moment, reports continue to indicate that the club will continue showing faith in Postecoglou for the time being.

Tottenham likely to consider move for Edin Terzic

The Telegraph have also backed up what we have heard from other outlets over recent days, stating that for the moment, there is no sign that Postecoglou’s position is under threat.

However, interestingly, the outlet says that should Spurs decide to pull the plug on this project, one of the names on their radar to replace him is former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic.

The German coach has been out of work since leaving the Bundesliga club at the end of last season and it is asserted that his name ‘would likely be discussed’ if the Lilywhites decide to replace Postecoglou.

Spurs will have a managerial shortlist

Whether or not Tottenham are seriously considering sacking Postecoglou right now, work would have already begun behind the scenes on identifying adequate replacements.

It appears to be service as usual for the Australian at the moment at Hotspur Way, but the club will be left with no choice but to pull to plug if the current run of form continues.

In fact, it would be irresponsible of the Tottenham top brass not to do their due diligence on potential managerial candidates, and perhaps even reach out to some of them regarding their availability and interest.
