The match officials for Tottenham’s second home Premier League game of the season on Saturday have now been confirmed.
The officiating has been at the centre of a big debate following Tottenham’s 0-0 draw at the City Ground with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Debate still continues to rage on about whether Neco Williams’ goal should have been ruled out by VAR, even though there appears to be clear evidence that the ball hit the Forest star’s arm.

Darren England confirmed as the referee for Tottenham v Everton
The Premier League have now announced that Darren England will take charge of the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
England’s two assistants will be Scott Ledger and Alex James, while Gavin Ward will be the fourth official near the dug-out. The VAR will be overseen by the experienced Paul Tierney, who will have Adam Nunn as his assistant.
According to Transfermarkt, England has taken charge of just nine Spurs games until now, with the Lilywhites having won five of them and lost four.
The 40-year-old referee has shown 16 yellow cards to Tottenham players, but has not produced a red card in those nine matches.

Spurs’ disciplinary record is already showing signs of major improvement
Apart from their bad luck with injuries, Tottenham were also hamstrung by their poor disciplinary record last season.
Spurs received four red cards and 101 yellow cards in the Premier League last season, according to StatMuse, which led to many suspensions.
There are already some big signs of improvement this term, with the Lilywhites having received a total of just four yellow cards in their three matches so far.
