Tottenham Hotspur forward Mathys Tel may be set for a shock exit this summer despite ending last season strongly.
The Frenchman stepped up and delivered during Spurs’ injury crisis and played a key role in keeping the club in the Premier League, but his future at N17 appears uncertain at the moment.
It was reported last week that Tel has sought assurances from Tottenham that he will have a key role next season under Roberto De Zerbi to remain at the club.
Additionally, over recent days, it has emerged that several clubs around Europe are eyeing the Spurs forward as he contemplates a move away from N17.

‘Concrete suitor’ emerge as Mathys Tel’s Tottenham future hangs in balance
TEAMtalk have now claimed that the 21-year-old is frustrated with his limited game time at Spurs and is considering a move in order to get regular first-team football.
The outlet claims that Tel’s future currently remains ‘open’, with a shock move to Premier League rivals Bournemouth now on the cards for the player.
The Cherries have emerged as ‘a concrete suitor’ for the Tottenham man and are offering him the prospect of regular starts on the south coast.
Tel is said to be keen on a new challenge even though he only completed a permanent move to Spurs last summer.
Porto have also expressed an interest in the France U21 international, while Lille and Eintracht Frankfurt are also monitoring his situation closely.
Spurs have internally discussed Tel’s sale
TEAMtalk say that De Zerbi’s men would prefer to retain the youngster as part of their long-term project, given the talent he possesses.
However, internally, the Tottenham decision-makers have discussed loaning out Tel with an option to buy as well as a straight sale for around £30m to £40m.
The worry at the North London club is that they may have to eventually sell the former Bayern Munich man for less than his true value if they are not able to guarantee him minutes next season.
