Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a versatile Portuguese international, but the Lilywhites will have to act fast to win the race for his signature.
After bolstering their midfield and their defence, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now looking to sign multiple attackers ahead of the new season.
While several wingers have been linked with a move to Tottenham, the Lilywhites may also need to add an attacking midfielder to their squad, given the injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and Xavi Simons.
They have now set their sights on a former Premier League star, who excelled at Sporting Lisbon last season.

Tottenham battling Premier League rivals for Francisco Trincao
According to a report in Record (as relayed by SportsView), Tottenham are looking to raid Sporting Lisbon for attacking midfielder Francisco Trincao, who could be on the move this summer.
Spurs face competition from Liverpool, who are keen to rejuvenate their attack, and have set their sights on the 26-year-old, who scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists in 50 matches across all competitions last term.
Trincao already has tasted life in the Premier League, having spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Wolves.
However, it is revealed that Spurs will have to move swiftly if they want to win the race for the Portugal international’s signature, as one club has clearly moved to the front of the queue.
Major Trincao offer is on its way
Record points out that Man City have also been linked with the Sporting star, but the most concrete interest in the player is coming from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are said to be in ‘advanced negotiations’ over a deal for Trincao, having identified him as a marquee replacement for Riyad Mahrez.
Al-Ahli are now readying an offer worth around €50m (£42.6m) for the attacking midfielder, whose contract at Sporting contains a release clause of €60 (£51m).
