Pedro Porro’s future is once again becoming a major talking point at Tottenham Hotspur, with fresh interest from Manchester City leaving Spurs supporters divided over whether the Spaniard should stay or be sold this summer.
A key part of Tottenham Hotspur’s summer rebuild, for the umpteenth time, will focus on getting the balance right between player sales and retaining key stars.
Roberto De Zerbi has already hinted at the need to keep the right core of players together after stating that Tottenham already have 11-12 good players they can build their squad around.
Spurs Web has since attempted to predict the 12 players De Zerbi had in mind, and among those picks was Pedro Porro.
The full-back has every right to be part of that core group, given the passion and determination he regularly shows on the pitch.
Against Everton, he demonstrated exactly that, leaving everything out there as Tottenham secured an important 1-0 win.

Tottenham fans split over Pedro Porro amid Manchester City links
The Spaniard’s performances have naturally attracted interest from clubs across Europe, with Spurs Web previously reporting that both Real Madrid and Inter Milan are keen on securing Porro’s services.
Fresh reports from Paul O’Keefe have now thrown Manchester City into the mix, with the journalist claiming the Citizens’ interest is genuine.
Porro, of course, was previously on Manchester City’s books before his move to Sporting CP. Spurs Web also reported on City’s interest in Porro back in March.
Tottenham fans who caught wind of the latest reports have since shared mixed reactions on social media over whether the full-back should be sold.
One fan said: “Cash + Savinho & Trafford and we will see,” while another supporter added: “Not a fan of this move, but if it happens I want Spurs to get Kayode or any top Premier League right-back.”
Another supporter was stunned by criticism aimed at Porro, writing: “Some Spurs fans think he is not good enough for us 😂😂😂 idiots.”
A fourth fan, however, was adamant Porro should stay, stating: “Nope, do NOT sell. Give him a new contract and make him a co-captain next season.”
One more supporter kept it simple: “If they sell him we are so finished.”
Meanwhile, another fan named his valuation, writing: “Give us £65-70m then you have got it.”
One final supporter questioned the attachment to the defender, stating: “Guy has been a mainstay in a Tottenham side that has finished 17th twice. How can anyone care if he is sold?”
Spurs need to keep hold of Pedro Porro
Porro is clearly a player with immense quality, and he simply would not be attracting this level of interest if he were not good enough.
In fact, despite playing in one of the worst sides in the English top flight this season, the Spurs full-back still earned a call-up to the Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Tottenham surely need players like Porro, who consistently give everything each time they step onto the pitch. The defender himself is aware of the latest transfer speculation and has already made it clear that he is trying to enjoy the end of the season.
