The Spurs right-back went through the heartbreak of being left out of Spain’s squad for Euro 2024, which appeared an inexplicable decision, given the season he had just had for Tottenham.

Porro has been showered with praise by Spurs fans after stepping up in the final run-in and ending the season very strongly.

After playing a big part in keeping Tottenham in the Premier League, the 26-year-old has received further good news ahead of the summer.

Here is how he and his family reacted to finding out that the full-back will be doning the La Roja shirt at the World Cup this summer:

World Cup heartbreak for Spurs star Mohammed Kudus

While Porro and several other Tottenham players are off to North America this summer, one Spurs winger will not be on the plane.

Mohammed Kudus has not been named in Ghana’s 26-man squad for the World Cup, which suggests that the 25-year-old is not expected to recover in time from his injury.

The news would come as a heartbreak for the former West Ham man, who first rose to prominence with his heroics for the Black Stars in the 2022 World Cup.
