Tottenham fans plan third protest against Daniel Levy in five months

A group of Tottenham fans have announced plans for yet another protest against the club’s owners at the start of April, which will be the third different protest that they have conducted this season as they aim to turn up the pressure on Daniel Levy.

The relationship between the Spurs fan base and the owners was not great at the best of times, but this season, the chasm has grown, with the supporters’ frustration reaching a boiling point.

Back in December, Tottenham fans organised a protest against the club’s ownership structure, and the pressure has since been ratcheted up even further.

Thousands of Spurs fans marched in protest in February ahead of the clash against Man United, with the supporters calling for Daniel Levy and ENIC to leave the club.

New Tottenham protest announced for April 6

The fan group, Change for Tottenham, have now announced plans for yet another protest at the start of April, and have called on all Spurs fans to participate.

The protest has been planned for April 6, the day of Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Southampton. They will start at the crossroads of Lordship Lane/Tottenham High Road and march until the West Stand.

Change for Tottenham confirmed that they will be selling flags, with the proceeds going to charity. They have asked match-going fans to wave the flags and scarfs at the designated minutes of the game.

Will these protests have the desired effect for Spurs fans?

These fan protests are not going to force Levy or ENIC out of the club as they will only sell if they feel their valuation of the club has been met.

However, that does not mean that protests like these do not have any benefit as they help keep up the pressure on Levy and the Tottenham board.

The Spurs hierarchy will know exactly what their reputation is among the Spurs fan base and would be wary of backlash if they are not seen as sufficiently backing their manager in the transfer market.
