Rafael Leao, who has been on Tottenham’s radar in the past year, has now made a big revelation regarding his transfer future.

The AC Milan star has been one of the best attackers in Serie A over the last few years, having scored 61 times and laid on 56 assists in 208 appearances for the Rossoneri.

He has been on Tottenham’s radar for a while, with reports indicating that the Lilywhites made contact regarding a deal for Leao last summer.

In fact, towards the end of last season’s summer window, it was even reported that Spurs had been offered the chance to land Leao by intermediaries, and the Lilywhites may not get another opportunity to land the player 12 months on.

Tottenham target Rafael Leao confirms he is leaving AC Milan

The Portugal international netted 10 goals in 31 matches last season, but that was not enough to get the Rossoneri back into the Champions League.

The 26-year-old has now admitted that he is looking for a new challenge this summer following seven years at the San Siro.

Leao told Sport TV Portugal (as relayed by MEN): “I’m proud as I made history at AC Milan but I want new chapter. I feel ready to play in another league. I did my best for Milan, but it’s time to try another challenge.”

Where is Leao likely to move to?

There has not been any report suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur have reignited their interest in the Milan star, but there is no doubt that the Lilywhites require reinforcements in the wide areas.

However, it has been revealed that Man United are plotting a move for Leao, and the offer of Champions League football could tempt the winger to greenlight a move to Old Trafford.

Additionally, Barcelona have also explored a move for the Portugal international, which means that Tottenham may have their work cut out to convince the player to come to N17.
