Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with another Brighton & Hove Albion star ahead of the summer transfer window following their latest recruitment meeting.
The curtain will soon come down on the 2025-26 Premier League season, with just one game left before the campaign ends.
For Tottenham Hotspur, though, the season is far from over, as their fight for survival has gone down to the wire following their 2-1 defeat against Chelsea.
A lot is now riding on the final game against Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the result from that clash likely to decide the division Spurs will play in next season and the calibre of players they will be able to attract.
A defeat on Sunday will simply not be good enough for Tottenham should West Ham United beat Leeds United in their own game.

Tottenham target Matt O’Riley after recruitment meetings in North London
Despite their Premier League status still being uncertain, preparations for next season have already begun in north London.
According to TeamTalk, recruitment meetings have been held, and Spurs have now discussed the possibility of signing Brighton midfielder Matt O’Riley.
The 25-year-old has endured a mixed campaign, impressing while on loan at Marseille during the first half of the season. However, he was recalled for the second half of the campaign and struggled for game time at Brighton, who needed to bolster their squad during the run-in.
The Seagulls are now open to parting ways with the midfielder they signed from Celtic in a £25m deal in August 2024.
Roberto De Zerbi is understood to be a big admirer of O’Riley, having worked with him at both Marseille and Brighton. The 25-year-old now joins Jan Paul van Hecke and Bart Verbruggen as Brighton players linked with Tottenham.
Spurs face competition for Matt O’Riley ahead of summer window
Spurs are not the only side in the race for the Brighton midfielder heading into the summer transfer window.
Clubs in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are also keen on landing the 25-year-old. In Spain, Atletico Madrid are said to be interested, while Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring his situation, with Marseille still looking to bring O’Riley back.
It is explained that Brighton values O’Riley at around £35m and, with a sell-on clause benefiting Celtic included in any deal, the Seagulls are not expected to sanction a cut-price exit.
