Tottenham Hotspur could yet lose another youngster this summer transfer window, with Middlesbrough advancing in their move to sign Will Lankshear.
The brakes appear to have been applied in terms of purchases this summer transfer window by Tottenham Hotspur following their six new signings.
In the last couple of weeks, it has been exits galore, with Luka Vuskovic, Alfie Devine and Tynan Thompson all completing moves away from north London.
Spurs’ sales so far have seen them earn close to £100 million, as they sit just £7 million short of that figure following the recent sale of Thompson.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold is now reporting interest in yet another Tottenham youngster, this time in Will Lankshear.
The centre-forward has been the subject of much transfer speculation, with clubs in Europe and the Championship keen on signing him.
It was revealed last week that Spurs rejected three separate approaches for Lankshear, with the proposals reportedly involving eight‑figure offers – either a straight permanent transfer or a loan move with an obligation to buy.
However, the Tottenham insider has now explained that Middlesbrough are in advanced talks to sign the 21-year-old permanently from Tottenham. With a sale potentially in the eight‑figure range, Spurs could quite easily surpass £100 million in outgoing transfers this summer.
His post on X reads: “Understand Middlesbrough are in advanced talks to sign Will Lankshear permanently from Spurs.”
Spurs could continue their trend of inserting smart clauses into youngster sales
Lankshear enjoyed what was an impressive campaign while out on loan with Oxford United last season, scoring 11 goals in the Championship while also registering four assists.
The youngster looks determined to improve on that and has been showing even greater commitment this summer during his individual training sessions.
At the moment, though, he has little Premier League experience and, with Spurs linked with other centre-forward options, it will take a lot for the young forward to break into the squad.

Should he be sold, we can expect to see Tottenham include a sell-on percentage as well as matching rights, as they have done with most youngster sales this summer.
