Ange Postecoglou has provided a Tottenham Hotspur team news update ahead of Sunday afternoon’s match against Aston Villa during today’s press conference at Hotspur Way.
In what is arguably Tottenham’s biggest match of the season to date, the North Londoners head to Villa Park for the lunchtime kick-off knowing that a victory would close the gap on their opponents in the Premier League table.
Villa are currently five points ahead of Tottenham and having played an extra game, a victory for Spurs and winning their game in hand would take them back into fourth.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Unai Emery’s side.
Villa were in action last night away to Dutch giants Ajax in the first leg of their Europa League round of sixteen first leg tie, while Spurs are certainly the more rested of the two teams with the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday having been the last time they took to the field.
Pedro Porro has been injured with a muscular issue
Tottenham have been without the services of first-team regular Pedro Porro for the last two matches with the Spaniard having been sidelined due to a muscular injury.
Emerson Royal has filled in for Porro with the Brazilian having looked much more settled in the win over Palace compared to the 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, however, Spurs have been boosted by the return of Porro this weekend.
Speaking in his pre-match chat with the official site Ange said: “From last week everyone got through ok and are available, Pedro has trained so he’s available as well and the rest are still in rehab.”
Richarlison (knee), Fraser Forster (foot fracture), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Manor Solomon remain out.
