Tottenham Hotspur are being forced to wait by Manchester City in their efforts to finalise a deal for Omar Marmoush.
An understrength Spurs side got their Premier League campaign off to a disastrous start at Gtech Community Stadium, falling to a 3-0 loss without throwing a punch.
The performance proved that the squad is still in need of reinforcements, and attacking reinforcements are undoubtedly on their way, with Spurs striking a deal with Manchester City for the signing of Savinho a few days ago.
Reports indicate the Lilywhites are confident that Omar Marmoush will follow Savinho to N17, but it turns out that the delay in that deal is not down to the North London club.

Man City waiting to sign off on Omar Marmoush’s sale to Tottenham
Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has now revealed that Roberto De Zerbi’s side have reached a full agreement in principle with City over the Egypt international.
However, he explained that City will not sign off on the transfer until they conduct a full assessment of their squad following their clash against Bournemouth this afternoon.
O’Keefe wrote on X: “Tottenham have a deal agreed in principle, but City are currently not prepared to sign the deal off completely until they evaluate their squad after their game.”
Then, in a separate post, he wrote: “They are currently evaluating so they could decide at any point, although most likely after they’ve played.”
Why Spurs fans need not be concerned about Marmoush deal
However, O’Keefe clarified that the delay in City finalising the agreement is not a matter of major worry for Tottenham.
He insisted that the North London club remain confident that Marmoush will arrive at Hotspur Way sooner rather than later.
When asked about Fabrizio Romano mentioning that the deal will happen next wek, O’Keefe added: “I’m not saying it doesn’t. Spurs are confident, as am I, but not quite signed off fully yet.”
